Michael Essien departs the game with 7 major pieces of silverware, including 2× Premier League (2006, 2010); Careca with 4, including 2× Serie A (1987, 1990). Where Michael Essien was a silky presence in the box, Careca offered a mercurial approach to goalscoring.
